Hello, my name is is Meriann Lee.  I am a proud alumni of Purchase Line School District, having attended Purchase Line from 1st grade until I graduated in 1998.  Following my first adventure as a Red Dragon, I received my Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Shortly after graduating from college, I returned to the area and once again became a Red Dragon when I was hired as the elementary music teacher in the school district.  I have been a part of this wonderful community since and still teach primarily chorus and general music at PLES.  In my time here, I have made many changes within the elementary program.  I have helped add a recorder program, started a 1st and 2nd grade mini-musical and most recently have begun exploring the world of the ukulele with my students.  I will continue exploring new things in the area of music education, as I believe it is important for every student to find their own love of music and where in the area of music they find joy, expression and interest.

 



 Outside of teaching, I spend time with my large family; my husband Jeremy and our four boys Anderson, Olli, Everett and Eliot.  We like to camp together with friends, go on weekend adventures, geocaching and we love all things Harry Potter and Star Wars.  I also direct the musical at Homer-Center High School in my extra time.
