Welcome to our Grade Five classroom! I am truly excited about your child's presence in our learning community. I trust it will be a positive experience for all of us.
My name is Debra Miller, and I earned my BSED in Elementary Education with a Reading Concentration at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. My career in education began in 1994 and includes experience in four local school districts including Purchase Line.
I chose teaching as a profession because I love working with children. The sound of a child's laughter is magical, and few experiences surpass observing a student's face light up when they succeed in understanding a concept or mastering a skill!
Fifth grade is an exciting time for children. Years spent in Primary grades are now etched in memory. Entrance into Intermediate grades brings increasing independence and responsibilities. All too soon, your child will be encountering the excitement and challenges of the high school environment.
Together, we can prepare students to succssfully meet the challenges they face today and tomorrow.
